The body can possibly survive without food until five weeks, but did not resist more than five days without water. It is therefore necessary to take at least 8 to 10 glasses per day to replace the loss that occurs with sweat and urine. Water is a truly remarkable food and essential for life. Food and gas are transported by water, waste products are expelled from the body through urine and feces.
Water regulates our temperature, lubricates our joints and contributes decisively to give structure and shape to the body. In addition, proper hydration helps keep skin smooth and youthful, as the acute or chronic dehydration causes the skin to crease and cracks easily. Often a person loses more water than you take, but its content in the body remains relatively stable over time and in case of imbalance, a new intake of fluid can quickly adjust the level of water that our body needs.
The sun and heat perspiring more, then fluid loss increases. Add to this the fact that the more fluid is lost, the more decreases the body's ability to regulate temperature, which essentially means that water is replenished. We should not wait to feel thirsty to drink water, and dry mouth is a symptom of dehydration, and the instinct to drink is lost with progressive dehydration.
